Final day, public engagement at Stevenson Square. Our assortment of freebies (plants) ran out in a flash! The installation was looking great under the beautiful sunshine.

After we finished cutting the final stencil, Anton applied the last layer of spray paint onto our installation.

The miserable weather finally clears out. The installation is up and standing, looking sturdy and ready for final touches.

Used spare planks from the broken pallets to create shelves for our installation. Done with the generic structure, we are on schedule and looking to paint our installation soon.

Manual labour at its finest. Covering a side of a pallet by nailing down planks, however the wood was very tough to nail and saw through, making our job significantly harder.

Construction begins. Using basic tools such as saws and hammers, we dissembled broken pallets and used the planks to fill in gaps on the base pallets. This creates a flat surface for us to spray paint onto in the future.

Upon speaking with a UoM workshop technician, we became clearer on how we would construct the installation. We started designating jobs for people to do during the construction days, just so we work as productively as possible in our given time frame.

After presenting to our collaborator, Helen, discussions commenced amongst the 4 groups in coming up with a final design. We decided to connect interesting ideas from all groups into a single design.
